New Facebook Group

Hi to all OCTC Members, Family & Friends
We are launching a new “Facebook Group” to allow members, family and friends to communicate amongst each other more easily and accessibly.  Our club now numbers over 250, we have people racing all over the world, all year round, and it is important that we have an easy way for people to share their experiences and knowledge.
To ensure order and control within the Group, a set of “Group Rules” have been decided.  They are as follows-:
“GROUP RULES”

1.Race Information – Pre/During Post

  • Pre-race – Tells us who/where/when you are racing.
  • During – Supporters can post photos, race updates, etc.
  • Post – Race analysis and the spoils of victory.
2.  Tips & Info
  • Training tips and advice.
  • Triathlon events, entry dates, etc.
  • General info relating to club, sport, etc.
3.  Buy/Swap/Sell Equipment
  • With over 250 members there is a ready made market for the trade of used triathlon equipment.
4.  Training
  • Propose a training session and invite people to join you.
  • No one wants to train alone.
  • A great opportunity to network and meet other members.
  • Learn from more experienced athletes.
5.  Positive and NO blogging!
  • All posts to be of a positive nature.
  • Information to be precise and to the point.  No unnecessary commentary.
NOTE:  The “Group Rules” will evolve and be updated as necessary, however any post  outside of these general themes will result in removal from the site and potential removal of the person from the group.  The group will be administered by members of the committee.  Information posted to the Group may be reproduced for the weekly newsletter or added to the website.  Eg.  Photos and results.
How to be part of the group-:
  • Search “Orange Cycle and Triathlon Club – Piranhas Supporters Group” on Facebook.
  • Apply to be accepted to the “Group”.
  • A notification will be sent with your approval.
  • Should you have any questions or difficulties joining the group please email:  octc@octc.org.au
Looking forward to seeing the continued growth and success of OCTC the “Piranhas”.
