Open Water Swim #3 – short race summary

Fine weather again greeted 49 swimmers at Gosling Creek for the 3rd and final open water swim of season 16/17. Races were from 6pm last night (Wed 15 Feb) and swimmers chose from 200m, 400m, 800m and 2km distances. Good to see friends from Bathurst who came over for the event, and welcome to Katie, our newest Piranha member who participated in her first OCTC event. A big thanks to Paul Ryan and the bush nippers, Megan, Janet and Jo for rego and timing, Matt Dean for set up, and Dan Benton from the Barnyard who conducted race briefings. Special mention to President Mick Lockyer who had work commitments in Parkes, but still managed to get the boards from the lake and across to Gosling for the event.
