Season 17/18 has begun

A successful duathlon and breaking the ice on Sun 24 Sep signalled the start of season 2017/18. There were good numbers across the board for our four duathlon events on Sunday morning at Gosling Creek and great to see friends from Bathurst come over to join the Piranhas. Thank you volunteers and parents for a smooth show. Thanks especially to the team who loaded gear from our shed at the lake and trucked it to/from Gosling over the weekend.

And for the traditional christening of the season with a dunk in the creek, long time Piranhas made two observations:

  1. 29 dunkers for the Break the Ice is a new record, and
  2. The water temp at Gosling is 5 degrees colder than Lake Canobolas!

A great start to the season! Our next events at Gosling are junior kids gala on Sat 14 Oct afternoon and then handicap and teams relay on Sun 15 Oct (duathlon or triathlon, depends on water temp)
