Bathurst Interclub – Tuesday 26 January

The New Year means it is time to race and from my experience with the mighty “Piranhas” post the festive season is when we truly get serious.  Our interclub opposition of Cowra, Dubbo, Bathurst and Mudgee had best be on notice.

Australia Day, what a way and what a day to continue our quest to regain the interclub trophy.  Add to that a Tuesday race and I can see no better way than to get our racing year off to a start.

Details for the Interclub race can be found here: http://www.bathursttriclub.com

Please note the request to pre-register online in order to make the day run a little smoother: http://www.active.com/bathurst-nsw/triathlon/races/king-cain-wallabies-central-west-interclub-triathlon-2016

The next Interclub race of the season is at home on 14 February which we know is a huge advantage, there are no lines on the bottom of Lake Canobolas for our competitors to follow!

A “Grand Prix” format, Australia Day pride, mid-week race, an Interclub Title to fight for and re-claim, seems to me to be an environment where Piranhas will thrive.

Be sure to also mark your calendars for the next OCTC club race – the Super Sprint Handicap on Sunday 31 January, as well as the third instalment of our Open Water Swim series on 10 February.

Wherever you are racing, race hard, fair and with OCTC pride.
