Breaking the Ice – this weekend!
The season opener is upon us! Hooray!
The Breaking the Ice Duathlon is on Sunday 25 September at Lake Canobolas. All details can be found by clicking through on the link below:
https://octc.org.au/event/breaking-the-ice-octc-duathlon/
We will be starting a little later than our usual club triathlons – just to give the lake a little bit of time to warm up. HA!
Registration from 8:30am
Racing from 9:30am for midgets, followed by Juniors at 9:45am. Enticer and Sprint kick off at 10:15am.
If we need to cancel the duathlon due to weather or unfavourable conditions on the road or run, we will post a message to our Facebook page by 5pm on Saturday. If there has been no official notification, but you wake up on Sunday morning and it is raining cats and dogs, assume that we won’t be racing. Keep your eyes peeled and your fingers crossed.
We will ‘Break the Ice’ in the lake at 11:30am REGARDLESS of whether the race goes ahead or not. Tradition is tradition! Don’t forget to bring a towel and a nice warm change of clothes! With all this rain, predictions are that this could be the coldest Break yet. What fun!
See you on Sunday
