Did the Piranhas take the interclub title in Dubbo?
Hi Piranhas and friends of the club,
No, that title is not intended as click-bait, we are waiting to find out from NSW Triathlon after all the performance and participation points are tallied up and checked off from the Dubbo event last Sunday before we hear who has won the InterClub trophy for season 23/24. Thanks to the Dubbo Hippos for a well run event and flexibility for a different run course with improvements being done along the river. Will be even better next year.
Whether we do take the title or not, it was a great performance from our Piranhas up at Dubbo, with almost double our numbers from the previous year. I think the only ones missing from the group photo are Paul Eccleston and Mark Delaney. The Iron Lady Sal Wallace dominated her age group again, and other notable performances included Tim Robinson as fourth male overall. Sorry if I’ve missed other results, i just don’t have them handy at time of writing. Paul Eccleston is slowly recovering with ribs, knee and quite a bit of skin off after a mechanical issue on the bike saw him take a nasty fall. when he was in third overall after a smokin’ swim.
