End of season award presentation – all the award winners

A great afternoon at The Carrier’s Arms to reflect on the season and recognise our award winners. Congratulations to:

^As our Club Champs on 17 Mar was washed out, we had the first OTC member in our interclub on 11 Feb as our club champions for this season.

  • Twisty (as coach) accepted Bianca’s award as she had school next day in Wollongong
  • Isaac Eccleston was at work
  • Jos Dirs had to work also so a photo of him in action at the Interclub
  • Flowers for Carolyn as a small thank you for her time and energy on the committee – she has let us know she is stepping down
  • Flowers for Megan as a small recognition and encouragement as she has undergone chemo treatments over the past few months and has surgery on 31 May.

We welcome Georgie, Katrina, Louisa and Sonia to our committee, and thank Carolyn for her years of service, and Penny for the first half of the season and previous seasons.

A sketch of next season’s calendar has been drafted, subject to InterClub dates and we are trying to keep weekends free that have NSW or ACT qualifiers for Wollongong Worlds next year.  When we have locked down a few more tings we will distribute at the start of next season – we do know Juniors Weekend is 02/03 Nov!

And finally, good luck to Ian and Logan in the Half, and Paul for the Full Ironman in Port Macquarie on Sun 05 May…hope the weather forecast does not eventuate and it is a dry-ish track.
