FORAGER CENTRAL WEST TRIATHLON SERIES – Dubbo Interclub 12th March 2023
The final Round of the 2023 Forager Central West Interclub Championship was held last weekend in Dubbo, with the Dubbo Hippos Tri Club putting on an fabulous event.
The competition was hotly contested with triathletes from Dubbo, Mudgee, Bathurst, Cowra and Orange Tri Club all keen to gain valuable points for their club.
A big thank you to all the Piranhas who travelled and competed at the various Interclub races this season. We finished runners up to the Mudgee Tri Club. Congratulations to the Red Devils who were dominate at all events, turning up in force in Dubbo to ensure they retained the championship trophy for 2022/2023.
In the main event – Sprint – 500m Swim, 18km Ride & 4km Run
Our top males were
David Hunter 6th overall and 2nd in AG
Tim Robinson 7th overall and 3rd in AG
Will Robinson 2nd in his AG
Admirable performances from Richard Wilson, Simon Lun. Richard Hogg and George Hogg all who added valuable points in very competitive age groups.
Our top females were
Kim Dale 6th overall and 2nd in AG
Julie Middleton 10th overall and 2nd in AG
Admirable performances from Erica Eccleston, Cas Ingham and Sally Wallace all who had great results in their age groups.
Big shout out to Kim Dale and Adam Mort (Mudgee) who competed in Sundays interclub race on the final day of their Zoo2Zoo ride from Melbourne to Dubbo (over just 9 days) and then joined the rest of the crew to ride into Dubbo Zoo. Well done also to Carolyn Egan who finished the Canberra to Dubbo leg of the Zoo2Zoo ride on Sunday, an impressive 470kms in 3 days.
