Good luck to our Piranhas in Green and Gold

Excitement is certainly building for the 10 members from Orange Tri Club heading to Townsville this week to attend The World Triathlon Multisport Age Group Championships.

There is expected to be 3000 competitors from 40 different countries, competing in 8 different events from 16th – 25th August.

Our Piranhas will compete as follows

Sprint Duathlon on Friday 16/8 – Sue, Tess, Bianca, Liesel, Will, Sam and Tristan

MTB Cross duathlon on Thursday 22/8 – Simon

Aquathlon on Friday 23/8 – Sam and Tristan

and Aqua bike on Sunday 25/8 – Carolyn and Sally.

The competitions will see them represent their country in a 1000 strong field for Australia. We are very proud of them and know they will have an amazing experience.

Thankyou to everyone who helped with the fundraising efforts – through sponsorship, buying raffle tickets and bbq sausages to get these athletes up to Townsville.
