NSW Club Championships – postponed
The Triathlon NSW board and staff, in addition to Elite Energy, have remained optimistic about the September 2020 Club Champs. However, recent circumstances have forced significant changes to the event in order to prioritise the health and safety of members, and the wider community in Forster.
With the plans of clubs and members at the forefront of our work on this event, today we are announcing a postponement of the 2020 NSW Club Championships to 14th November 2020.
This postponement will hopefully allow for the 800 plus registered participants and volunteers, and their friends and family, to safely attend the event in Forster and enjoy a great race later this year. We extend our thanks to the Mid Coast Council who have accommodated this date change and continue to support the hosting of the event in their region.
While we understand this announcement may be disappointing for some, we encourage all our members to remain positive and to exercise patience with Elite Energy and all commercial entities who deliver events in NSW during this uncertain time.

We are continuing to work with all relevant approval agencies including NSW Health to ensure this event is delivered safely, protecting participants and the local community. We encourage you to maintain your support for the event and race, if at all possible, in order to support the future of triathlon.”
All entries for the event will be rolled over to November 14th, which will replace the Kurnell 1 race scheduled for this date. In the meantime, we encourage all our members to get involved with their clubs and support local events where possible. Thank you for your patience and commitment to triathlon thus far, and we look forward to continuing to support this crowd-favourite event in November.
