Latest OTC News and Upcoming Races – 20/01/2022
Our Open Water Swim series continues Thursday evening (20 January) at 6pm at Gosling Creek. … the water is magnificent at this time of year! Meet on the beach. Iain Jones (Aquatic Centre Manager and Swim Coach) will provide Open Water tips at these sessions from 20 January. Come along – the more the merrier.
The Club event held on Sunday 16th January was well supported with 9 competitors in the Sprint event and 4 ladies in the Super Sprint. In the Sprint event, Tristan Harrison, Bernie Wilkinson and Josia Dirs took 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall, with Lily Logan the first female to cross the line in 4th position overall. Julie Middleton and Sally Wallace completed the podium in the Sprint race. The Super Sprint event was supported an all female group with Clare Mansfield, Anyja Dally, Molly McCloskey taking the podium positions and Emily Palmer taking 4th position.
The next Interclub event will be in Bathurst on Australia Day. This is a great morning out and not too far to travel….. we are offering a free Orange Triathlon Club towel to all members who join us for the Bathurst and Dubbo Interclub races this year. Remember that you need to be a member of Triathlon Australia to join us in the Interclub events.
