Triathlon NSW Club Championships 2014

Information below regarding up coming NSW Club Championships. We have talked about doing this as a club for many years-is this the year? Contact Steve or comment if interested.

Triathlon NSW is pleased to announce the 2013 Triathlon NSW Club Championships will be held on Saturday 5th April 2014 at the beautiful Mid North Coast town of Forster.  This year we also have a junior participation event – an aquathon on the beach. This does not contribute to the overall Club point score.

The point system will be very similar to the system last year.

We will recognise winners of the City based and Country based Clubs. The overall Champion Club will be awarded to the Club with the highest point-score. Irrespective of which division the Club sits in.

The ‘City’ region is defined by the area bound by the Hawkesbury River to the north, the Nepean River to the West and the southern boundaries of Sutherland Shire and Campbelltown Shire. Country is everything outside of that.

We recognise that not all Clubs are of equal size so again will award 3 Divisional Winners. The Clubs to compete in each division have been determined based on the number of Club Members (and number of TA members) as at 4 January 2014.

Triathlon NSW welcomes all affiliated Clubs from NSW and the ACT, and all their members, be they Competitors, Volunteers, Marshals, TO’s, that will maintain the tradition of this premier Club based event on the NSW Triathlon Club Calendar.

 Only the first competitor from each Club scores performance points.

 The 2nd and subsequent athlete from each Club “blocks” the performance points available to other clubs.

Triathletes with a Disability:

Triathletes with a disability are welcome to participate in the Club Champs. At this stage they will participate in their relative Age Group Category. Because of physical constraints the course is not suitable for those who compete in a Wheelchair.
