Wrap up of Bike Fest 2015

We had a good turn out on Sunday 12 September at the velodrome for the ‘Bike Fest:  Celebration of the Cycle’.

A big thank you to Phil Tudor for setting up our OCTC marquee. It was the first time the club’s marquee has been erected and displayed and boy did it look FANTASTIC!!!!  We had a few people approach us during the day asking about the club and checking out the gear on display. The day’s atmosphere was high starting with a mass bike ride of all ages and styles of bikes (racing, vintage, classic, HPVs – human powered vehicles and road bikes) around the velodrome. There were track races and even a police bicycle soccer game.

The day was supported by other clubs, organisation and businesses.

Thank you to Megan Goodwin, Bridgitte Burge, Phil and Tom Tudor for bringing along their bikes and helmets for our display.  Bridgitte and Megan were also kind enough to bring along their wetsuits and other triathlon items. Thank you to Steve and Bernadette Robinson, Bridgitte Burge, Megan Goodwin, Kinisha Roweth and James Locke for doing roster duties on the day and also to David and Alicia Ross for helping us to pack up the gear. It was great to see club members drop by during the day.
