Details for our club event on Sunday 13 Nov: Sprint and Super Sprint

We’re excited with the double header this weekend – Friday 11/11 twilight and Sunday 13/11 regular club event.

Here are the details for Sunday’s club event:

Runsheet for Sun 13 Nov: Gosling Creek Reserve

  • 7:00am: set up, helpers encouraged to come out to help with the bike racking and signage
  • 7:30am: rego in front of Gosling Creek tri shed
  • 7:50am: Safety Briefing for Super Sprint
  • 8am: Super Sprint (internal): pick one, they start at the same time
    • Option A: Triathlon: Swim 200m / Ride 6.6km  (3 x big internal loop) /  Run 1km (1 x small internal loop)
    • Option B: Duathlon:  Run 1km / Ride 6.6km  (3 x big internal loop) /  Run 1km (1 x small internal loop)
  • 8:35am: Safety Briefing for Sprint:
  • 8:45am: Sprint (external): pick one, they start at the same time
    • Option A: Triathlon: Swim 400m / Bike 22km (external) / Run 4.4km (2 x big internal loop)
    • Option B: Duathlon: Run 2km / Bike 22km (external) / Run 4.4km (2 x big internal loop)

Other Points:

  • Water Temp: If below 18 degrees then we will have Duathlons only and no Triathlons – we don’t want to freeze our bits off before Mudgee next weekend!
  • Cost: Free for members, $15 for Super Sprint non members and $30 for Sprint non members (we’ll take $5 and $10 off each event for Triathlon Aust members from other clubs)
    • we encourage non members bring correct money, or show bank tfr on your phone during the rego where we’ll give you our bank details
  • Food and drink:  Cold drinks at finish
  • Rego and Timing: Rego on the morning only, no official timing but will record people as they cross finish line
  • If you are new, welcome! We love newbies. Pls introduce yourself to one of the volunteers in bright orange vests and they or another member will help you rack and get ready
  • For the external 22km ‘Airport Loop’ for the bike leg of the Sprint event, course map below, with maroon highlights where cyclists need to take particular caution due road surface from the rain
