Elite Energy – Big Husky Triathlon Festival

Last weekend was another busy time with many members heading to the Elite Energy Big Husky Triathlon Festival. Star of the Piranha show was Sally Wallace who won her age group in the Aquabike, and is now the Australian Championship! Her performance has earned automatic qualification into the 2024 Multi Sport World Championships to be held in Townsville. What an absolute legend! Congrats Sal.

Other Piranha success at Husky were Tom Cornelius- Feltus who came 1st in his age group and 2nd overall in the Super Sprint in a swift 30 minutes.

Richard Willson (aka ‘Wil’) completed his first full Sprint distance triathlon and finished 23/66 in his age group. Sterling effort Will!

In the Aquabike, Claire Ward earned precious points toward her journey to the World Championships in Townsville next year.

Well done Piranhas!

Did we miss you at Husky? With so many events on the Husky programs its tricky to keep up with all the club members who may have competed. Please let us know how you went.

Don’t forget the Orange Running Festival at Gosling Creek this weekend. If you haven’t entered … get onto it!

Our upcoming events for March include Dubbo Interclub on 12/03 and our very own Orange Club Champs on 19/03.
