Keep an eye out for more details to come each week but here’s a quick run down.

OTC Duathlon – Super Sprint and Sprint distances on offer. Online entries will open next week.

Friday Night Twilight Series – 3 short distance events (swim, bike, run or run, bike, run) – do 1, 2 or 3 events on the night. Great for both beginners and seasoned athletes who want to increase fitness and confidence. Fantastic transition practice too. If you have been thinking about getting into triathlon this is a perfect place to start. Also ideal for any females keen to get some practice in before the Sandy Ostini Ladies Colour Triathlon or Duathlon in December. Something for everyone.

Mudgee Interclub – the first round of 4 x interclub races between Orange, Mudgee, Bathurst, Dubbo and Cowra. Last year the kids races started at 8am, Super Sprint at 8:45am and Main Race 9:25am. The main race is a unique grand prix format with 2km run, 250m swim, 18.5km ride, 250m swim and 2km run.

We are keen to win back the Central West Interclub Champion trophy this year and hope that many of you will join us in Mudgee to gain those valuable points for both participation and performance in age group rankings.

“Juniors Weekend’ – Round 3 of the Billigence NSW/ACT Pathway Series – NSW Super Sprint Championship/NSW Mixed Relay Championships – Youth, Junior and Under 23.

This is one of our premier events for the season. It’s a full day on Saturday and a half day on Sunday with roughly 120 Youth, Junior and Under 23s, training and racing at Gosling Creek. The event also incorporates the NSW Super Sprint Championship/NSW Mixed Relay Championships which show cases the best young athletes in NSW. A great opportunity for our junior members to race local against many other juniors.

As the host club we require lots of volunteers to run this event safely and smoothly. Please put your hand up to be involved by emailing octc@octc.org.au.

Sandy Ostini Ladies Colour Triathlon – a fun event for the females. Please invite all your female friends, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, daughters and workmates to join you. All abilities and bikes catered for. You can do a traditional Triathlon or join in on a run/ride/run. You can do the event as an individual or team up and do one or two legs each. Swim aids (flippers, floaties or pool noodles) are acceptable if you feel more comfortable with them and your bike can be any style as long as it is in good working order. It’s a fantastic opportunity to give triathlon a go and have some fun.
