Orange Junior Triathlon Festival is upon us!
It’s here! The Orange Junior Triathlon Festival is on this weekend at Gosling Creek Reserve!
Saturday will focus on clinics and racing for registered junior, youth and under 23 athletes. We encourage club members to get down to Gosling Creek to have gander (see what we did there?!), and perhaps pick up some hot tips whilst watching some top quality coaches in action.

Sunday will play host to our usual club races, with the addition of a Draft Legal ITU Super Sprint for eligible participants from Saturday.
As has been tradition for the last two years, all members who compete on Juniors Day pay a small race fee that goes into our Junior Development Fund to assist juniors to make it to elite selection races. Food and drinks will be available after the races.
Registration
Don’t worry if you missed the online registration cut off for Sunday’s races, as entries will also be taken on the day. Please note that you will need to check in at the registration desk on race morning to get your timing chip activated even if you have already paid online.
The fees for Juniors Day are as follows:
- Sprint & Enticer OCTC/TA club member: $8
- Sprint & Enticer non OCTC but TA member: $15
- Sprint & Enticer non TA member: $25
- Enforcer: $5
- Juniors & Midgets: $2
Schedule of events for Sunday:
- 7:00am – 8:00am Register
- 8:15am – Midgets 50m/800m/400m (TRYstars Mini Stars)
- 8:30am Juniors – 100m/2km/600m (TRYStars Super Stars)
- 8:45am Enforcer – 200m/6km/1.5km – non-drafting
- 9:15am ITU Draft Legal Super Sprint – 300m/8km/2km
- 10:30am Enticer – 400m/10km/2.5km –non-drafting
- 10:30am Club Sprint Race – 750m/20km/5km –non-drafting
Volunteers
As usual, we will require volunteers for all jobs on Sunday, and particularly with marshalling. If you are willing and able to assist with marshalling or any other duties, please contact Brian Sharp at brian.sharp@optusnet.com.au
