Pirnahas in the Capital Duathlon and Lonely Mountain Ultra

ACT Duathlon Champs – Sun 15 Oct

Last weekend a dozen very keen Piranhas tackled the ACT Duathlon Championships at Stromlo Forest Park.
Both the Standard and Sprint distance races were qualifying events for the Australian team bound for the 2024 Multisport World Championships in Townsville.
Sprint distance 2.5km run, 20km bike and 5km run

Bianca de Swardt    Unfortunately a DNF but was in top 3 for 2/3rd of race before a bike malfunction
Standard distance 5km run, 40km bike and 10km run

Loney Mountain Ultra – Sat 14 Oct
A number of OTC Members ran the various distances or helped out the Lonely Mountain Ultra on Saturday last weekend (Mt Canobolas and surrounds).
On offer was the gruelling 104km, 50 mile, 50km, 30km, 22km, 11km, 4km and 2km with over 1000 runners registered.
The best performance for our club was Emma Fessey in the 22km event, who took out 1st place in her age group and 3rd female overall in 2:04:19
.
